Why it exists
Most people planning a house in India start the same way: a plot size like 30 × 40, a list of rooms, a few setback rules, and a lot of sketches on paper. Professional CAD tools are expensive and slow to learn, and most free floor plan tools are built around metres, open-plan American houses and paid upgrades.
HousePlanCraft is built for the way houses are actually planned here: plot sizes and rooms in feet and inches, setbacks from the plot line, Ground to G + 4 floors, shared walls that move together, and a Vastu checker that reads every room against its zone. The aim is simple — let anyone find out in a few minutes whether their layout fits their plot.
What you can do with it
- Draw a floor plan to scale in the free floor plan maker: rooms, walls, doors, windows, stairs and furniture at real sizes.
- See it in 3D with the free 3D house plan generator: walk inside, try ceilings, lighting and paint colours, and share a link.
- Check Vastu for any facing, using the Vastu guides and the checker built into the editor.
- Start from your plot size with ready room schedules for common Indian plot sizes.
- Save and export with a free account: projects on the website and in the app, and PDF, PNG, SVG or JSON downloads.
Free, and how it stays free
Every feature is free: there is no paid tier, no trial and no card. There are no ads and your data is never sold — see the privacy policy. Running costs are covered by the people who make it and by visitors who choose to buy us a coffee.
What it is not
HousePlanCraft gives layout guidance. It does not replace a licensed architect or structural engineer, and it does not know your local building bye-laws. Before you build, have your plan checked and approved by a professional and by your local authority. The Vastu checker describes the traditional convention; whether to follow it is your choice.
Who makes it
HousePlanCraft is an independent product by Josentity. It is designed, built and supported by a small team that reads every message sent in — most of the features in the editor started as a request from someone using it.
